AL HAMAYIM (Herzliya)

 

This restaurant is simple and elegant, allowing you to enjoy the gorgeous view of the Herzliya beach (hence the name of the restaurant which translates to ‘on the water’). Chef Haviv Moshe, who won the “Young Chef” award and was previously a sous chef at Messa, prepares creative Mediterranean-style dishes. The menu is comprised primarily of fish, but they also have meats and interesting and beautifully presented starters. But best of all is the sushi. In this good-sushi-deprived city, lunch at Al HaMayim after a morning on the beach is our heaven. It is very expensive, but we can spoil ourselves once in a while.
