The “Bristol” restaurant motto is “kitchen, client and drive”. If you have forgotten, drive is the unpredictability, original intrigue, something “out of the ordinary”.
And that is exactly what marks out a true restaurant!
Drive in the “Bristol”, of course, can be put on the first place. Here the crazy idea was realized! Whatever the design of the restaurant hall, usually it is alcove comfort, private and closed from the bustle of the streets and squares, and away from prying eyes. The “Bristol” owners did exactly the opposite. Contrary to all usual… they let the street into the hall!
Of course, we are not talking about all the famous promenade of Bat- Yam, where among other restaurants and cafes “Bristol” is located. It is about the reconstruction of the carriageway streets of the ancient English city of Bristol with carts, pedestrians, side streets and town square on the restaurant walls. There are some street color “gingers” placed here and there in the hall: old telephone box with the real phone, poster stand, where, among commercials of the last century you can read today’s restaurant menu and make an order. All this gently reminds the originality of British cities, stands between the ancient and the modern.
In the “Bristol” you have feeling as if you sit on the restaurant veranda ant the port city life is busting around. By the way, even today Bristol has not lost its mission. But you will not lost in this whirlwind, and looks important person, using the excellent attention and empathetic respect for all restaurant service staff. Here the spirit of English helpfulness and strict observance of tradition is everywhere.
The main thing is absolute fulfilling of the client’s order. If the client asked not too peppered French fries or steak, he get exactly he wanted. There is a strict observance of any other wish too. Without mentioning the fact, that cult of fresh products and full compliance of dishes recipes reigns at the restaurant kitchen. There is an English Bristol – egg roulade with meat, roasts in clay pots, steaks, ossobuco and seafood – mussels, calamari and whole baked fish in the menu. During the day you can get a several dishes dinner at the price of a main dish served in the evening.
Caterings, birthdays, jubilees, Bar / Bat Mitzvahs, corporate parties, hen parties, stag parties, children’s events, home delivery are always available. In the middle of the day, you can order cakes, draniki, vareniki eat dumplings, blini, that you can take to the beach, it is near: just cross the road and go down the stairs to the sea. This place is well-known not only for cooking for every taste, but also for singing and playing for every taste. On Friday, there are younger people in the “Bristol” (is not it, this word is heard a drum roll and the “oops oops,” the striker plates?) and trendy tunes meet with them. On Saturday more often there are older audience – for them, classic hits and songs in Yiddish and in many other languages are played.
Any restaurant is a mixture of recklessness and common sense. On “Bristol” signboard, you can see a playfully smiling chubby English bulldog in the pot dashingly shifted to the scruff of the neck. Maybe it can take some time before you understand that “Bristol” is a sense of celebration in everything!
