BBS – Burrito Burger Sushi, Haifa

The BBS restaurant has a great story behind its concept! Once a soldier spent all his money on dining out with his girlfriend because she wanted to sample several cuisines outright — Asian, Mexican, and European… The soldier himself worked in a restaurant and the next day he shared his thoughts with the chef:
— Busya, it’s so expensive and the restaurants are too far from each other. Is it impossible to combine several world foods in one place and make the menu cheaper? I am just a soldier guy who does not have much money, yet who really wants to take my girlfriend out to some nice place!
The chef smiled and said that everything is possible since he has been experimenting with mixing cuisines for several years now. He added that not only the menu would be cheaper, but also would feature a mouthwatering choice of dishes combining several food traditions, meaning that there is no need to spend money on taxis anymore.
They both laughed and at the same time decided that such a restaurant must be opened. This, by the way, was the first time two Jews came to an agreement.
A year later, when the soldier finished his service, he and the chef opened their first restaurant and named it BBS after the three dishes — Burrito, Burger, and Sushi — for which the generous guy once has spent his entire salary to please his girlfriend.
October 11, 2019, the new BBS Restaurant opened its doors for the first time offering culinary delights from different world’s cuisines with the chef’s author’s touch ever since.
