MENCHES (Haifa)

Menches restaurant in Haifa opened its doors in January 2018, yet its history dates back to 1976 when the entrepreneur behind Menches, Moeen Arraf, established the first of his seven restaurants in Alkmaar, Holland. Building on his success abroad, Moeen returned to Israel in 2010 and opened up the first Menches restaurant in his hometown of Mi’liya in the upper Galilee. Its signature dish, the pork shawarma, has gained the restaurant fame and its reputation has spread among customers streaming in from all over the country.

Menches in Haifa serves the same original dishes as the restaurant in Mi’liya, while also adding its own unique flavours and style. Located in the beautiful German Colony neighbourhood in Haifa, with a view to the impressive Bahai Gardens, the restaurant takes pride in offering its customers a menu full of flavours, served in a stylish interior and relaxed atmosphere. Menches offers both indoor and outdoor seating for a total of 150 people, and welcomes families with children of all ages, couples looking for a quiet romantic corner, or anyone else wanting to enjoy a good meal with friendly service.

Whenever you head over to Menches, you are likely to encounter one of its two owners, Farid Nasser, who is also the Menches Head Chef, and Elias Said, who also holds the position of Restaurant Manager. They both bring together their nearly two decades of experience in working in the restaurant business, both locally and abroad, in order to guarantee you, your friends and family the best quality food and service you could hope for.
