“Pago Pago” works in Eilat since 1986 and has firmly entrenched among leading restaurants of the city.
The menu includes seafood and fish dishes, quality sushi bar and selected meat dainties. The kitchen of the restaurant is managed by young talented chef, combining best of Mediterranean cuisine with elements of French and Italian one. He shared one of his recipes with us.
Every day the restaurant gets fresh seafood and fish, two times a week it comes by plain from abroad. For many years of the restaurant work, hundreds and thousands guests visited it, many of them were presidents, prime-ministers, ministers, Israeli and world celebrities and just dear and beloved patrons, both Israeli citizens, who came to Eilat on holidays, and tourists.
For 25 years the restaurant “Pago Pago” worked as a floating restaurant in Eilat, anchored in the harbor, adjacent to the northern shore of the Gulf of Eilat, near the hotel “King Solomon”.
In early 2010, the restaurant was closed due to a fire in the kitchen (because of a short circuit) and at the floating part of the restaurant. In February 2011, the door of the restaurant opened again in the amazing building surrounded by water on three sides and built right there in the lagoon, where the floating restaurant was moored.
The new design of restaurant “Pago Pago” is characterized by clean lines that give a classic and sophisticated look to restaurant area, combining original features, wooden windows and doors, concrete, steel and glass.
Perhaps, it is the most unique restaurant in Eilat that due to harmonically combination of design with wonderful cuisine.
A fine-tuned interior lighting spectacularly colors the restaurant space in soft colors, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Through the panoramic windows located on the restaurant perimeter, you can admire the yachts moored nearby and their reflection in the Red Sea. Hotels twinkle lights, situated along the marine, provide restaurant guests a unique view and a feeling of freedom and peace.
There is wonderful rectangular bar in the center of the restaurant, lined with bog oak and decorated with natural color oak beams with silver metal inserts. More dynamic and young people usually sits at the bar, those who comes to try sushi, tapas, seafood and a wide choice of alcoholic beverages and wines.
